ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship will provide A$10,000 per year for up to three years to support a Northern Territory student commencing university studies in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).
Launching in October 2026, the inaugural recipient will
commence university in the February 2027 academic year.
A new recipient will then be selected each year.

HONOURING A REMARKABLE LEGACY
Honouring Dr David Falvey,
co-founder of Tamboran Resources and distinguished geoscientist.
Dr David Falvey was a co-founder of Tamboran Resources, a distinguished geoscientist and a lifelong learner with extraordinary curiosity. His foresight, adventurous spirit and deep understanding of Australia’s geology helped shape Tamboran from its earliest days.
Dave was known for asking bold questions, challenging conventional thinking and generously sharing his knowledge. His understanding of Australia’s geology helped him recognise the enormous potential of the Beetaloo Basin and contributed to the foundations upon which Tamboran was built.
He believed passionately in the power of education and in the opportunities that come from continued learning, discovery and the confidence to explore new ideas.
“It means an enormous amount to our family to know that Dave’s name will live on through this scholarship.”
— Gill Falvey
